About The Role
We’re looking for a responsible and proactive Operations Assistant/Yard Operative to join our team. In this role, you’ll ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles on-site, support our customer processes and help keep our site running smoothly. You’ll be the friendly face of the site, interacting with colleagues and customers while driving vehicles safely and professionally.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Safely and efficiently move vehicles on-site through the gate-in process, pre-inspections and any other customer-specific processes.
* Occasionally move vehicles off-site as required.
* Observe all health and safety rules and actively promote a safe working environment.
* Drive in a professional manner in line with site rules and HSE requirements, treating all vehicles with respect.
* Conduct yourself calmly and courteously when dealing with colleagues and customers.
* Assist in locating, moving, delivering, and collecting vehicles as needed.
* Carry out ad hoc duties to ensure the smooth running of the Yard.
* Maintain full and compliant understanding of site processes, including “gating in” and “pre-inspection”
What We’re Looking For
* Full, clean driving licence.
* Basic knowledge of HSE legislation.
* Strong communication skills, able to give clear instructions and work effectively with colleagues.
* Good time management and ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Comfortable using handheld and tablet technology.
* Comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
