Responsibilities
* Implement individualized therapy plans under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist to support children's developmental goals.
* Engage children in therapeutic activities that promote motor skills, sensory processing, and social interaction.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to each child's therapy journey.
* Document and report on children's progress, providing valuable insights to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
* Maintain a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters trust and encourages children to reach their potential.
* Communicate effectively with families, offering guidance and support to reinforce therapy goals at home.
* Adapt therapy techniques to meet the unique needs of each child, ensuring personalized and effective interventions.
Qualifications
* Experience in pediatric occupational therapy, particularly with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
* Ability to implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
* Proven track record of supporting the development of fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and sensory integration.
* Competence in collecting data and supporting progress monitoring to guide treatment planning.
* Proficiency in completing timely and accurate clinical documentation in an electronic medical record (EMR).
* Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within an interdisciplinary therapy team.
* Excellent communication skills to engage with children, families, and team members in a supportive manner.
Compensation
$50,000 yearly
