Overview
Would you like to be part of a team delivering an invaluable service to our patients within the Yorkshire & North Lincolnshire region? We are seeking an individual who enjoys supporting and working with members of the public and can communicate with a wide range of people, from patients to healthcare representatives, adapting your approach to provide the best possible customer service. You will join our team of Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (PTS) Ambulance Care Assistants (ACA’s) on a full-time basis. The role is based in the North Lincolnshire/Scunthorpe area and is a 37.5 hour permanent contract. You may work on your own at times, or as part of a double crew transporting patients across Yorkshire, Humberside and North Lincolnshire.

Responsibilities
* Support patients, their carers and healthcare representatives, transporting them to and from healthcare appointments and helping hospitals discharge patients when they are fit to leave a hospital setting.
* Consider each patient as an individual and meet a wide variety of communication and other needs.
* Be polite, professional, and eager to make the patient experience as pleasant as possible.
* Work as part of a team in transporting patients, and carry out manual handling tasks as required.
* participate in a formal staff development program with training opportunities and career progression.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers and healthcare representatives; adapt communication to individual needs.
* Willingness to carry out manual handling tasks and travel across Yorkshire, Humberside and North Lincolnshire.
* Strong customer service orientation with a focus on patient care in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work as part of a team and also independently when required.
* Eligibility for NHS Pension Scheme and awareness of NHS discounts and related benefits (Blue Light card etc.).
* Attendance at a 4-week training course within Yorkshire as part of the role.
