The below job description will outline this position of: QHSSE Advisor
Typically, this person will provide professional QHSSE support across fleet and onshore operations, ensuring compliance with statutory, flag, class and client requirements, whilst supporting the continual improvement of the company's Integrated Management System. The successful candidate will act as a visible QHSSE leader, promoting safe and efficient operations across the business.

Duties and responsibilities of the QHSSE Advisor:
Support the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS)
Provide QHSSE guidance and support to vessel and shore-based team
Conduct internal audits, inspections and assurance visits across fleet and onshore operations
Coordinate and support external audits including ISM, ISPS, ISO, flag, class and client inspections
Support incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action processes
Analyse QHSSE trends and performance data to support management reporting
Assist with risk assessments, method statements and operational safety reviews
Promote proactive hazard identification and workforce engagement initiatives
Deliver QHSSE inductions, toolbox talks and training activities
Support emergency response planning, drills and environmental compliance activities
Assist with departmental budget planning and cost control activities
Qualifications and requirements for the QHSSE Advisor:
Nautical Officer or Marine Engineer Certificate, or recognised safety qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate
Formal ISM and Safety Auditor training
Previous experience within marine, offshore or QHSSE advisory environments
Strong understanding of maritime legislation including ISM, ISPS and MARPOL
Experience conducting audits and supporting compliance activities
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and QHSSE reporting systems
Excellent communication, investigation and report writing skills
Practical and solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
Willingness to travel in support of operational requirements
