Senior NPI Manufacturing Engineer at Raytheon

About the Role
The Senior NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer will focus on executing new product introductions for circuit card and mechanical assemblies. The role requires a strong technical background in mechanical assembly processes to ensure successful product launches into manufacturing, supporting diverse fields such as Power Products, Space, Weapons, Sensors, and Control Actuation Systems.
Main Duties
1. Lead CCA & Unit Level assembly processes.
2. Manage NPI Builds, ensuring they meet schedule, cost, quality, and manufacturing standards.
3. Participate in all stages of NPI, from bid to full-rate production.
4. Conduct DFM and manufacturability analyses.
5. Use manufacturing data to identify and resolve issues.
6. Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
7. Escalate quality or performance issues as needed.
8. Identify training needs and escalate accordingly.
9. Maintain manufacturing metrics and track KPIs.
10. Support program teams and engineering community as required.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
* HND or higher in Manufacturing/Production Engineering or related field.
* Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical manufacturing processes.
* Understanding of electronic and electro-mechanical product design and operation.
* Proven contribution to production efficiency improvements.
* Knowledge of DfX principles, process FMEA, design review, and risk mitigation.
* Understanding of Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and Lean Manufacturing.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of Circuit Card Assembly Processes.
