A day in the life of the Material Control Supervisor:
In this role, you're the go‑to person for keeping materials flowing smoothly through the Fluke Norwich facility. Day to day, you'll be making sure inventory stays accurate, materials are where they need to be, and the production lines never run dry.
You'll handle things like completing inventory cycle counts, overseeing Kanban audits, and digging into any variances or non‑conformances to figure out what happened and how to fix it. You'll work closely with Production Team Leaders to keep manufacturing areas fully stocked.
You're also responsible for leading and developing a team of Material Handlers. That means training them on standard processes, coaching them, cross‑training where needed, and helping them grow in their roles. You'll keep clear records and use daily management tools to track performance and drive improvements.
Since the site is growing and managing more parts, your focus on strong material control becomes even more important. You'll collaborate with Production Leaders, Supervisors, Goods In/Shipping, and Project Coordination teams to keep everything running smoothly and supportively.
