Job summary
We require a minimum of three registered Pharmacy Technicians to work in our Pharmacy Department as a rotational technician at Liverpool University Hospitals - Aintree Site.
However work maybe required to work across any LUFT site
You will have a NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Services, or equivalent, and be registered as a qualified Pharmacy Technician with GPhC.
Pre Registration students due to qualify this year (2024) can apply qualifications pending.
You will be carrying out dispensing of prescriptions, including extemporaneous prescriptions, unlicensed drugs, controlled rugs, in-patient and out-patient prescriptions in accordance with the agreed safe systems of work practice and co-operating in staff rotation within the Pharmacy Departments of the Trust including Walton and Aintree site dispensaries, and potentially the Royal Liverpool Hospital.
Main duties of the job
To carry out pharmaceutical technical duties in specified areas of the Pharmacy Department under the direction of the Chief Pharmacist.
To provide an efficient and comprehensive pharmaceutical service under the direction of senior pharmacy management for all patients treated by Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
