Founded in 1948, the site now employs approximately 160 employees and features the Aero Stanrew brand of electromagnetic components, printed-circuit board assemblies, cabinet wiring and electronic test equipment for safety critical applications in aerospace and defence, industrial and transportation industries. As our Commercial Manager at TT Electronics, Barnstaple, you will be instrumental in providing world class levels of service to TT customers, establishing strong relationships and developing robust processes from quotation to delivery, driving improved performance based on measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and driving sales growth. Key Responsibilities: Drive revenue and operating profit growth by maximising value from existing customer relationships through strategic negotiations, price optimisation, and opportunity development. Lead and own the costing and bid management process, driving accuracy, competitiveness, and cross-functional alignment in all customer proposals. Build and maintain strong customer relationships to secure or extend Long-Term Agreements (LTAs) and improve demand visibility. Lead annual price reviews and adjustments, ensuring alignment with contract terms, market conditions, and margin objectives. Analyse customer buying patterns and demand trends to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities. Ensure accurate and up-to-date customer forecasting and pipeline visibility to support effective planning across commercial and operational functions. Own and manage the Salesforce pipeline, ensuring accurate entry of opportunities and tracking the full bid lifecycle. Support execution of the site’s strategic growth plan by driving order intake and coordinating cross-functionally to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Lead the sales input to the monthly Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process by managing the unconstrained revenue forecast and facilitating the demand review. Monitor account-level margin performance, identifying improvement opportunities and supporting commercial negotiations. Continuously review and improve internal sales processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness. Core Requirements: Proven experience in inside sales or commercial roles within the electronics, aerospace, defence, or industrial sectors. Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a strategic, commercially driven mindset. Proficiency in Salesforce with a successful track record in pipeline and opportunity management. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organisation. Highly results-oriented, with a proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach. Strong sales acumen and a customer-centric outlook, with the ability to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities.
