Job Title: Hearing Aid Dispenser
Reporting to: Regional Manager
Package: Circa £50,000 + Monthly Commission + Company Car
Location: Romford and Surrounding areas
Days: Weekdays only, No Weekends
Job Summary
As a domiciliary audiologist, you can help our most vulnerable patients with their hearing in the comfort of their homes. You will play a crucial role in providing audiological testing services to patients in their homes. You will be trusted to make autonomous decisions and valued for your professional expertise. You'll have full support from our central teams including logistical and clinical support.
Clinical Responsibilities
* Manage a daily schedule of adults with hearing loss.
* Perform Pure Tone Audiometry including masking as required.
* Conduct tests for non-organic hearing loss.
* Conduct testing for Noise Induced Hearing Loss.
* Taking aural impressions and selecting appropriate ear moulds.
* Selection, programming and fitting of appropriate hearing instruments.
* Provide a full, structured, patient‑centred aftercare programme to ensure maximum satisfaction.
* Provide appropriate support for individuals with hearing loss.
* Use appropriate outcome measures, both subjective and objective, to ensure hearing instruments are providing maximum benefit and use evidence‑based practice.
* Use Real Ear Measurement equipment to validate and verify hearing instrument fittings.
* Commit to lifelong learning to ensure staying up to date with the latest developments in Audiology.
* Be responsible for daily maintenance of test equipment and arrange calibration as required.
* Provide ear care and wax removal where required (appropriate training provided).
* Follow best practice principles regarding infection control.
Professional Responsibilities
* Maintain HCPC registration as a Hearing Aid Dispenser (training provided as needed).
* Reflect on own practice with peers and management and identify strengths and development needs.
* Be responsible for own professional actions and recognise professional boundaries and when to seek advice.
* Contribute as part of a clinical team and discuss client needs with others.
* Attend supervision and training to maintain skills and expand scope of practice while complying with HCPC CPD requirements.
* Maintain CPD records in an HCPC‑acceptable form.
* Understand and apply clinical governance principles.
* Ensure staff compliance with Infection Control, Health and Safety, and Risk Management policies.
Skills & Experience
* Effective and flexible communicator with multiple parties.
* Proficient with digital systems and attention to detail.
* Confident driver with at least two years of driving experience and ability to find multiple locations.
* Calmed under pressure.
* Pragmatic problem‑solving approach.
* Organised and able to multitask.
* Work within own clinical knowledge and limitations.
