Overview
Train Presentation Coordinator – 15 Month Maternity Cover at Southeastern Railway.
We’re looking for a Train Presentation Coordinator to play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our trains. This position ensures issues such as graffiti, non-operational toilets, and environmental concerns are identified, recorded, and resolved promptly 24/7 by working closely with the Engineering Planning Team.
Note: 2025 marks the 200th anniversary of the first-ever passenger rail journey, and we are celebrating our proud history and bright future.
Responsibilities
* Plan back to a toilet servicing location as quickly as possible when a unit has no working toilet, in coordination with the Engineering Planning Team.
* Ensure graffiti is planned for removal with the appropriate facility and in cooperation with the Engineering Planning Team.
* Review the Train Presentation App each shift and generate depot and siding lists of work related to train servicing activities.
* Coordinate with depots and sidings to ensure all planned train servicing activities are undertaken as required.
* Record train servicing and cleaning activities by the relevant depots, yard teams, and/or operatives to maintain real-time train presentation data.
* Deliver units requiring ‘special cleaning’ (e.g., fatality cleaning, specialist toilet cleaning) to the specified/required standard as identified by the Train Presentation Manager.
* Track all train cleaning activities and work with the Engineering Planning Team to deliver heavy clean requirements for depots.
* Generate daily, weekly, and periodic data showing train presentation metrics (e.g., non-operational toilets, graffiti incidents, cleaning progress) and provide supporting information as requested.
* Interrogate EMS and Genius systems and other control systems as needed; operate intranet and internet systems for information transfer.
* Upload new train presentation documentation (RAMS, process maps, etc.) to the SE Wiki in line with document control processes.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience using computer-based systems such as EMS, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
* Customer-focused with strong business awareness.
* Good statistical analysis skills.
* Ability to produce clear and accurate reports and recommendations.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence people at all levels of the organisation.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and on own initiative.
* Ability to make quick, accurate decisions in the interest of the business.
