As part of the Culture and OD team, the People and Culture Practitioner works alongside Culture/OD and Human Resources/Employee Relations to support the implementation and embedding of our THRIVE values in our systems and processes.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Culture and OD, you will support cultural initiatives aimed at improving organisational performance and effectiveness. The role requires independent work with teams and individuals, focusing on respectful resolution and contributing to our Culture and OD strategy evolution.

The role will be aligned with core values and competencies, allowing you to leverage your strengths and experience.

* Assist in delivering the Trust's People strategies to enhance organisational performance and effectiveness.
* Provide professional internal consultancy to promote effective teamwork and embed our THRIVE values.
* Work independently, develop effective relationships quickly, and empower teams to foster a supportive culture.

* Contribute to the Trust’s People strategies to improve performance and effectiveness.
* Enable leaders to develop strategies for performance, engagement, and change management.
* Assist in business planning to identify and address culture needs.
* Provide consultancy to promote teamwork, embed values, and achieve organisational objectives.
* Lead on leadership development, coaching, mentoring, and talent management initiatives.
* Collaborate with key partners to ensure cohesive OD strategies.

Person specification

Qualifications

* Masters level education or equivalent experience.
* Professional qualification in OD or L&D (e.g., CIPD).
* Ongoing professional development.
* Coaching or mentoring qualification.
* MBTI or similar tools experience.

Experience

* Experience in people and culture roles within complex environments.
* Designing OD interventions, policies, and procedures.
* Supporting teams and individuals through change.
* Facilitating team development activities.
* Experience in NHS people and culture settings.

Knowledge

* Theories of change management and leadership.
* Understanding of NHS OD and leadership development agendas.
* Latest facilitation techniques and best practices.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
* Project management and influencing skills.
* Knowledge of HR and employee relations.

Personal Skills

* Self-confident, motivated, and innovative.
* Enthusiastic about success and change.
* Proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented.
* Self-aware with a strong sense of self and development needs.
