Titan are currently working with a very successful Waste Management company based in North Lanarkshire who are looking for an experienced TransportManager to join their team The main objective of the role will be to direct and control the companys operational fleet and to offer strategic guidance and direction ensuing that the company achieves its mission and objectives. Role responsibilities - To manage and run an expanding fleet of 35 trucks, including 2 trailers Oversee time management of plant and vehicles fuel usage Be the CPC holder for the company Manage and maintain all regulations in accordance with operators license conditions and drivers hours are adhered to Ensure safe working environment assisted by the Health and Safety Manager for fleet and workshop Manage and maintain servicing and its costs Manage and control the budget costs for the vehicles maintenance and workshop Responsible for over 30 drivers, including investigatory meetings anddisciplinary procedures Oversee the breakdown programme and the workload of maintenance by the workshop and mechanics for vehicles and plant Provide regular reports to the directors on vehicles costs Hold weekly meetings with workshop and attain vehicle updates Work closely with the General Manager ensuring vehicles meet the demand from the clients Manage all accident and near miss reports for the vehicles All fleet insurance procedures Hold toolbox talks with workshop staff Adhere to ISO 9001, 14001 and the 45001 programme currently under audit Ensuring all drivers are given and signed a copy of the drivers handbook advising of their responsibilities for CPC Key Areas - Work to strict VOSA compliance, traffic office with paperwork Maintain the development of the company Maintain the tidy and well-kept look of the vehicles and plant Maintain a high service level of vehicles and plant Strive to improve better relations between drivers and management Previous sales experience within a similar environment is essential The company offers a great working environment, working Monday to Friday, offering a salary between £45,000 - £50,000.
