Are you ready to make a real impact in the public sector? Our client, The Valuation Office Agency (VOA), is seeking multiple Data Administration Officers to join their team in Southampton (SO15 2JU).
Assignment Details
1. Start Date: 27th October 2025
2. End Date: 31st March 2026
3. Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
4. Pay Rate: £14.47 p/hr
5. Schedule: Monday - Friday | 9:00am - 5:00pm
6. Location: Onsite full-time during training (2+ weeks but could take longer if workers are not fully up to speed with the role). Once trained, hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 from home.
7. No pre-booked annual leave allowed during the first 4 weeks of the assignment.
8. No onsite parking is available at the location.
About the Role
If you're passionate about detail, data, and making a difference - this is the role for you! As a Data Administration Officer, you'll play a crucial role in helping the VOA maintain and enhance its property data records - data that underpins vital national functions, including Council Tax.
This is a multifunctional admin role ideal for someone detail-oriented, inquisitive, and comfortable working with data.
Key Responsibilities:
9. Investigate and update domestic property data quickly and accurately.
10. Assess and record property details that could impact Council Tax banding.
11. Follow operating procedures and escalate queries when necessary.
12. Maintain high standards during repetitive tasks such as data entry and document review.
13. Communicate effectively, both in writing and in person, while handling queries professionally and tactfully.
14. Support team priorities with flexibility and a proactive approach.
What We're Looking For:
15. Reliable, flexible, and committed.
16. Confident communicators with strong listening skills.
17. Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
18. Eager to learn and adaptable to new systems (full training provided).
19. Able to pass a Basic DBS check.
20. Legally eligible to work in the UK.
