Role Overview
This full-time, predominantly remote position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced solicitor with a strong background in private client work and property transactions. The successful candidate will take on a leading role in the delivery of high-quality legal advice, documents to colleagues (not members of the public), support business compliance, and contribute to the ongoing growth of the practice.
You will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision, whilst also collaborating with our wider team of legal professionals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Advise on, manage a varied caseload of private client matters including wills, probate, estate administration, and most importantly lifetime trusts and will trusts.
2. Draft and review a range of legal instruments, including but not limited to lifetime trust deeds, deeds of variation and declaration of trust.
3. Oversee residential conveyancing matters, relating to settling residential properties into will and lifetime trusts.
4. Act as Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP), ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance in line with SRA standards, and working in close collaboration with the appointed COFA to uphold the high standards and expectations set out by the regulator.
