We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading international manufacturing business who are looking for an experienced and motivated Despatch Warehouse Supervisor to join their team based in Oakham. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth running of despatch processes, leading a small team, and supporting continuous improvement across logistics and supply chain activities. £28,000 - £30,000 per annum Full-time, permanent role Office-based, Monday to Friday Free on-site parking Life insurance Additional leave Pension scheme Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee all despatch-related activities to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient shipment of finished goods Manage full despatch transactions within the SAP Warehouse Management System (WMS) Lead and coordinate warehouse operatives and forklift operations to meet production and delivery schedules Collaborate with the Logistics Coordinator to ensure all goods are despatched on time and in line with quality standards Communicate material control requirements with Factory Line Leaders and maintain effective communication across Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, and Production teams Support and participate in warehouse continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy Provide hands-on support during peak workloads to ensure operational targets are met Work closely with the cycle counter to ensure material numbers, sales orders, serial numbers, and WMS bin locations are correctly aligned Develop and maintain robust warehouse processes that promote consistency and best practice Required Skills and Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse, despatch, or logistics role within a manufacturing or engineering environment Proficiency in SAP WMS is essential Valid Counterbalance and Reach Truck certification Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel Fluent in English, with strong communication and documentation skills Personal Attributes: Strong leadership and team coordination abilities Excellent time management and organisational skills Confident, assertive, and proactive with a flexible, hands-on approach Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Committed to continuous improvement and professional development Positive, collaborative attitude with a focus on teamwork and inclusivity
