Aubay is seeking a Senior Commercial Analyst for their client, a leading finance provider partnering with major UK retailers. This role sits at the centre of the client’s commercial and data strategy, driving value through pricing optimisation, experimentation, and insight‑led decision‑making. Acting as a Data Product Owner, you will oversee the development of high‑impact data products, enhance profit quality, and shape the analytical roadmap that supports both commercial performance and customer outcomes. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work closely with senior stakeholders, commercial directors, and partner teams to influence strategy and deliver measurable impact.
You will lead a multidisciplinary analytics team to modernise BI capabilities—from Excel to Tableau—build advanced dashboards, segmentation systems, and experimentation frameworks, and strengthen the full credit lifecycle across digital and in‑store journeys. As a key representative in joint governance forums with the client’s retail partners, you will champion data quality, promote analytical best practices, and ensure all initiatives meet Consumer Duty, FCA, and conduct‑related requirements. This position is both strategic and hands‑on, offering the opportunity to shape commercial outcomes and drive transformation within a high‑visibility partnership environment.

* Build and manage a joint test‑and‑learn operating model with the customer.
* Lead A/B and multivariate testing across in‑store, web, and app journeys.
* Standardise metrics, instrumentation, measurement methodologies, and read‑out cadence.
* Develop and deliver a roadmap of test‑driven enhancements across digital journeys, store experience, and CLM/CRM.
Insight Products & Data Foundations
* Develop high‑impact dashboards, scorecards, and segmentation systems.
* Utilise the existing client relationships to produce actionable, partner‑ready insights.
* Champion data quality, consistent definitions, and analytical enablement across teams.
Leadership & Cross‑Functional Influence
* Lead multi‑disciplinary teams across insight, analytics, and experimentation.
* Influence decisions across Commercial, Product, Digital, Risk, and Financial Promotion teams.
* Operate within joint customer governance forums to mobilise change quickly and safely.

* Ensure all initiatives comply with Consumer Duty, FCA, affordability, and Financial Promotion requirements.
* Maintain full auditability of pricing decisions and all experimentation activities.

* Experience across both B2B and B2C commercial environments.
* Ability to identify and evaluate new partnerships, customer propositions, and commercially viable price points.
* Capability to align analytics with marketing strategy to maximise customer and partner value.
* Strong stakeholder‑engagement skills, suitable for high‑visibility conversations with leaders such as Daran and Marcus.
* Comfortable supporting and driving a full organisational uplift in reporting, insight generation, and data‑driven decision‑making.

* Maintain strong partner relationships, particularly with a retail client, ensuring aligned commercial and analytical priorities.
* Own and deliver commercial requirements that support partner growth.
* Demonstrate awareness of Consumer Duty and its implications for customer outcomes and regulatory standards.
