This role operates on a hybrid working arrangement. About the Opportunity:
As a Lecturer, you will play a key role in designing modules and will be responsible for:
* Delivering engaging face-to-face and online lectures for blended and distance learning students.
* Leading modules, ensuring quality and development of learning materials and schemes of work.
* Overseeing assessment marking, creating authentic assessments, and providing high-quality feedback.
* Supporting the development and refresh of programmes to align with industry trends and employer needs.
* Collaborating with colleagues to provide academic advice and support to students.
* Driving innovation in teaching, student support, and assessment.
You will be expected to travel into a London-based campus 3-4 days a week to meet the student timetable.
About You:
To be successful as a Lecturer in Hospitality and Tourism, you must have:
* MSc or equivalent in Hospitality and Tourism or Business Management-related field and/or substantial industry experience.
* AdvanceHE Recognition - FHEA or willingness to achieve within 12-18 months.
* Experience in effective teaching, learning, and assessment practices in Higher Education, with the ability to contribute to programme growth and student success.
* Evidence of successful teamwork and being a creative, inspiring lecturer and colleague.
Desirable requirements include:
* Experience in planning, leading, and delivering modules within HE.
* Ensuring modules meet academic and regulatory standards.
* Supporting development of new modules from concept to implementation.
* Preparing and curating teaching resources to meet academic and student needs.
* Launching and delivering new programmes and modules with high-quality content and student experience.
