Join to apply for the Functional Assessor role at Yash Computech Solution Pvt. Ltd.
Discover a new kind of career in healthcare as a functional specialist.
Are you working in healthcare and looking for a change? If you're a nurse (RGN, RMN, or RNLD), occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic, you could use your skills differently as an Assessment Specialist.
Our client provides unbiased, comprehensive assessments for claimants of the Government's disability allowance (Personal Independence Payment), conducted over the phone, via video call, or in person at assessment centers or in claimants' homes. We seek individuals with compassion and experience to understand our claimants' health conditions/disabilities and their impact on daily life, combined with strong computer skills, impartiality, and time management.
Day to Day
You will conduct initial reviews, including paper-based, face-to-face, video, or telephone assessments, to evaluate how a claimant's health condition or disability affects their daily life.
Our client's hybrid model means you'll work from home and be assigned to work at your nearest assessment center on a rota basis for face-to-face assessments. You will also spend time in centers or offices for team meetings and training sessions.
You will observe and report on individuals' ability to perform activities, analyzing clinical information and supporting evidence to create detailed reports (3,000-4,000 words) supporting DWP decision-making.
Our Offer
This challenging role is quite different from other healthcare professions, which is why our client emphasizes training and development. You will start with a 12-week training program (Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm), with options for 3-day or 4-day training schedules. Mentorship and support will be provided, especially during the first six months.
Starting salary is £38,500 per annum (pro-rata for part-time), plus a 5% retention bonus. Upon achieving remote work status, salary increases to £39,900 plus up to 10% bonus. Once you deliver face-to-face assessments, salary increases further to £41,500 plus up to 10% bonus.
