Children's Residential Deputy Manager
Location: Letchworth Garden City (Ofsted Rating: GOOD)
Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 per annum plus an additional £3,250 - £6,500 per year for sleep-ins
Hours: 08:00 - 22:00, 39 hours per week
Full UK driving licence is required
I am recruiting on behalf of a respected and well-established provider of residential childcare services, seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join a welcoming team in Letchworth Garden City. The home supports up to five young people aged 11-17 and is rated Good by Ofsted.
This is an excellent opportunity for an existing Deputy Manager or an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker who is ready to step up into leadership. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to deliver high-quality care, create a safe and nurturing environment, and ensure that young people are supported to achieve their full potential.
As Deputy Manager, you'll lead by example-mentoring staff, promoting best practice, and ensuring that care plans and routines are delivered in line with regulatory and organisational standards. Key Responsibilities
·Support the Registered Manager with the overall management of the home and ensure compliance with Ofsted standards.
·Provide leadership, guidance, and support to staff, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
·Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people in your care.
·Manage care plans, behaviour management strategies, and individual risk assessments.
·Oversee rotas, staffing levels, and budgets effectively.
·Act as the person in charge of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager.
·Promote the organisation's therapeutic and child-centred approach to care.

Requirements
·Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Residential Children's Home at Senior or Deputy level.
·Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Children and Young People (minimum).
·Strong knowledge of Ofsted legislation and safeguarding procedures.
·Experience in managing staff rotas and budgets.
·Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
