This rural village primary is looking for a mixed Year 4,5,6 class teacher to join their team from September. This class is made up of 13 children and will be supported by 2 teaching assistants. Your new role
Your new job as a mixed key stage 2 class teacher will be to plan a varied and exciting curriculum which is geared towards Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6. You will be responsible for planning, marking and providing feedback to the children throughout the day, as well as working closely with two teaching assistants who will support both within the classroom and outside of it, as well as interventions and 1;1 learning.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this new job, you will need to have good behaviour management and be able to set clear boundaries whilst still building relationships with children where they feel safe and secure. You will need to be confident in the Key Stage 2 curriculum and be happy to plan for a mixed cohort of ages. This job is suitable for anyone looking for 4 or 5 days per week, for at least 1 term, but likely to be all year.
What you'll get in return
