Job Summary
Sir William Stanier School is seeking an organised, enthusiastic, and practical Casual Design Technology Technician.
Approximately 5 hours per week, Casual contract. Start Date: As Soon As Possible. Closing Date: 31/03/2026.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and organising tools, materials, and resources for lessons
* Maintaining and cleaning equipment, machinery, and workshop spaces
* Supporting teachers and pupils with practical tasks when required
* Assisting with stock checks, ordering, and basic maintenance
* Helping ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed
Qualifications and Experience
* Practical skills in wood, metal, plastics, or general workshop environments
* Good organisational and communication skills
* A positive, flexible, "can‑do" approach
* Understanding of (or willingness to learn) workshop health and safety procedures
Hours & Contract
Approximately 5 hours per week. Contract hours may vary depending on departmental needs.
