Job Title: Intern Systems Engineer
Working Hours Day shift: Monday to Thursday 7.30 am to 4.15 pm and Friday 7.30 am to 12 noon

About the Role
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Intern to support elements our PPAP control pack. This Internship will expose you to various elements such as NPI, PFMEA, Drawing creation/changes (PCR), Process flow diagrams, SOP’s, MSA Studies & FAIR Process.
The role will require a high level of focus validating Process Change Requests working alongside our Manufacturing engineers cascading improvements across product families to standardize the manufacturing method ensuring we comply with our customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Support our Systems Engineer ensuring PCR’s (Process change requests) are monitored and actioned. Ensure all approved requests are mirrored to similar features by component family where appropriate.
* Ability to modify or generate operation drawings using CAD package to support Howmet’s NPI program.
* Identify and flag potential contractual risk or compliance gaps
* Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure repeatable and reliable processes.
* Identify opportunities for process optimization.
* Assist with AS9100 audit requirements and ensuring our adherence to AS13100.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
* Currently pursuing a degree in engineering/manufacturing/Quality or related fields
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings, managing manufacturing tolerances
* Evidence of strong mechanical problem‑solving capability.
* Practical knowledge of CAD; familiarity with Solidworks would be preferred.
