A top 100 UK city law firm is looking for a BD Manager to work on their wide Corporate practice and also manage two exciting sector areas.

The firm is going through an exciting period of change and is targeting either an experienced BD Manager or a Senior Advisor/Executive that is looking to step up in to the next role.
The role sits within the wider BD and Marketing function, working closely with other practice leaders and Partners, and manages a BD Assistant. As well as the three areas within the Corporate practice, the role will also lead on two major sectors with global brands as part of their exciting client base.
The role involves driving strategic BD by developing annual BD plans, client relationship management, leading on cross-selling and new business initiatives, producing high-quality bids a and spear-heading on targeted thought leadership, campaigns and events. It is not a pitch heavy role and typically will involve resourcing rather than writing from scratch; producing first drafts and final finishes. It also requires building trusted relationships with partners, providing coaching and strategic advice, and contributing to firmwide BD projects.
Candidates should bring either corporate or transactional BD experience from a law firm, or have a background of working within BD within a financial services or professional services firm. Candidates will either be at BD Manager level already or targeting promotion to this level in their current role. It is critical that candidates can speak the transactional language of stakeholders and build credibility across the firm.
