Early Years Teaching Assistant
Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school based in Morpeth to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young learners at the very start of their educational journey.
The school is looking for a versatile Teaching Assistant to work within EYFS, supporting children across a range of needs and abilities. The role offers a varied and rewarding mix of responsibilities, including:
1. Providing 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
2. Delivering and supporting small groups
3. Assisting with general classroom support in EYFS
4. Supporting early learning through play-based and structured activities
5. Helping to create a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and making a real difference in early education.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
6. Has experience working with young children (EYFS experience desirable)
7. Is confident supporting pupils with additional needs
8. Can deliver or assist with targeted interventions
9. Is patient, nurturing and enthusiastic
10. Works well as part of a team and can also use initiative
11. Holds (or is willing to work towards) a relevant TA qualification (desirable but not essential)
