Purpose of the Role
Join the Manufacturing-Logistics team as the Programme Planning Specialist where you'll manage the creation and submission of Bentley Production Programme Plans, and play a pivotal role in driving continued operational excellence and supporting key initiatives as we work towards achieving Bentley’s Beyond100+ strategy aim. Reporting into the Head of Programme Planning. Your main responsibilities include;
1. Agree a Body supply plan between Bentley Crewe and VW relevant plants, including negotiations with and influencing of VW counterparts
1. Communicate Bentley production plans to VW and to identify body despatch requirements.
2. Manage relations and negotiate with counterparts at VW Group and Sales and Marketing to ensure a smooth and consistent body delivery plan to support build in Crewe and customer order requirements ensuring correct levels of inventory at Bentley.
3. Monitor, analyse and report on the body inventory and on adherence of VW to the agreed delivery plan, including the provision of a body stock forecast in line with the Planning Round time line.
4. Coordinate issues when deviations between plan and actual occur.
1. Pre Series on line build phases
1. Create Pre-Series build phases in line with customer requirements, Project targets and Production plans.
2. Attend project reviews to review progress of plans and manage any changes in requirements and or timings ensuring that production plans are still achievable
3. Monitor all build phases to ensure all build plan related issues are being picked up at an early stage, resolved quickly and where required revised timing plans are being agreed with the customers, Product Management and Production.
1. Creation of Internal Production Plans
1. Create and manage Production plans for various production technologies, taking into careful consideration all business requirements, i.e. Sales and Marketing, pre series launch ramps, production restrictions, factory calendar / bank holidays / shutdowns.
2. Define assumptions and create detailed production plans across the 5 year Planning Round horizon; including optimisation to minimise Takt changes and ensure smoothed production through application of the agreed shift model flexibility framework
3. Submit monthly Production Programmes and yearly budgets to Group systems in line with the VW calendar and input bi-weekly updates of the status against the programmes.

The Programme Planning team is part of the wider Manufacturing function, we work closely with our Production and Sales colleagues to produce sustainable and dynamic programme plans that support our customer needs and for current and future years.
About you – Skills and Experience
* Production and capacity planning management
* Production monitoring and reporting
* Effective communication with a range of people / audiences
* Proven influencing and negotiation skills with external suppliers and customers
* Planning and complex problem solving
* Cross functional working in a matrix environment
* Understanding of MRP processes and company Enterprise Resource Planning system (SAP) experience beneficial
* VW Group production planning system knowledge
* Excellent numeracy skills
* Advanced level of IT literacy (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook
* German language skills would be a distinct advantage
