Your duties

* Be the first point of contact for new machine enquiries and drive sales within the assigned geographic region.
* Manage the technical and commercial aspects of the Horizontal, Secondary and Vertical packaging machinery portfolio for the food industry, with support from technical experts (virtually and in person).
* Acquire new customers in the focus region and maintain relationships with existing customers.
* Conduct general market research to identify potential customers and monitor market trends and competitors.
* Prospect and follow up on Industry Marketing Campaigns; contribute to achieving KPI targets.
* Plan and prepare customer visits and submit visit reports; support back-office teams with offers ensuring complete and correct data.
* Collaborate with internal departments locally and abroad; prepare reports on all sales activities (including travel expenses) in a timely manner.
* Manage customers, leads and opportunities in the Syntegon CRM tool; handle contract negotiations with manager and back offices.
* Receive technical support from factories as needed (via Teams or in person).
* Ensure sales margins are on target and follow up on technical documents and payments as per schedule.
* Maintain a customer-centric approach with close collaboration with Services to ensure long-term customer satisfaction.


Your profile

* Strong sales experience within capital sales of packaging equipment; strong exposure/relationships within the dry food industry.
* Experience in value selling techniques; working knowledge with technology market leaders (high-end products).
* Knowledge of Horizontal, Secondary and Vertical Packaging in the food industry; excellent customer management and interpersonal skills.
* Team spirit and open-book mentality; strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering (not mandatory); minimum 5 years of sales experience; computer skills (Teams, CRM, MS Office).
* Willingness to travel domestically and within Europe up to 60% of the time.
