Overview
Vice President of Regional IT is a senior executive role responsible for aligning regional business strategies with corporate/global IT capabilities. This position combines strategic partnership, operational leadership, and technology innovation to ensure best-in-class IT support for the European region, with IT investments delivering measurable business value. The VP oversees multiple affiliate locations in the region, providing centralized governance of technology decision-making and usage, and ensures IT services across all countries and branches while adhering to global policies and roadmaps.
Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership & Governance: Serve as the strategic IT partner to regional business units, translating business needs into actionable IT strategies. Develop and manage a European IT strategy with action plans to achieve best-in-class IT service across Europe. Develop and manage the Technology roadmap aligned with the overall AIT roadmap. Liaise with regional IT leaders, SaaS providers and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration. Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations and company policies, and maintain transparency to global governance and compliance. Promote cross-functional collaboration and standardized IT processes to ensure consistent service quality and operational efficiency. Represent IT in cross-functional governance bodies to align on shared goals and coordinated service delivery.
* Technology Strategy & Execution: Leverage corporate resources, standards, processes, and applications to maximize value. Ensure regional platforms comply with global standards. Document core technology capabilities to facilitate understanding, stability and scalability. Oversee regional execution of IT system services, training and change management across affiliate locations. Support IT Global Asset Lifecycle Management processes, including deployment and decommissioning of end-user devices and related workplace technology.
* Performance & Financial Management: Manage and monitor the performance of affiliate technology against regional financial and operational objectives. Define and report on operational performance of affiliate technology providers and services. Participate in budget strategy sessions, including monthly reviews and capital/operating plan evaluations. Establish and articulate regional staffing needs to accomplish objectives.
* Regional IT Business Application Management: Serve as escalation point for global services affecting regional customers. Represent regional needs in global solutioning and technology negotiations. Oversee procurement, installation, and configuration of regional SaaS applications. Ensure maintenance and support of regional SaaS applications and end-user support. Implement processes for regional SaaS systems aligned with global standards. Collaborate with regional stakeholders to align solutions with business needs. Manage relationships with regional software vendors per governance policies. Ensure regional reporting needs are met in partnership with global data and reporting teams. Partner with the business to facilitate appropriate business continuity.
* Talent Management: Participate in IT resource strategy and vendor management. Develop and maintain a highly engaged regional IT talent pool. Manage a regional team to ensure delivery of the European IT strategy and support. Provide local leadership to the Global IT organization for resource needs.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
* 10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, including relationship management, strategy, and delivery.
* Proven track record of aligning IT with business strategy in a regional context within a global enterprise.
* Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
* Experience managing in a matrix environment and with complex portfolios.
* Deep understanding of applications/systems, IT governance, and service management.
Preferred
* Master’s degree or MBA.
* Experience in global logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing industries.
* Certifications in ITIL, Agile, or BRM (Business Relationship Management).
* Experience with digital transformation, cloud technologies, and data analytics.
