Position Summary
The Director for International Defence and International Government Engagement is responsible for development and execution of international defense and government business development efforts.In this position they will lead the efforts of the International Defence Working Group – that will track all International Defence and Government opportunities from identification to award, develop a defence and government customer database that tracks organization structures and personnel to identify technical and financial decision makers.
This position will be responsible for understanding U.S. and international trade compliance requirements in order to best guide International Defence and Government business development decisions.
This position will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of Information Technology and Security requirements necessary to support international business development capture efforts.
This position will report to the Senior Director of Strategy for Aerospace and Defence Technologies and will work closely with matrixed support functions to track the effective and efficient business development planning and capture activities.
This position will be based in the United Kingdom and will require domestic and international travel based on business and customer needs.
Duties And Responsibilities
1. Execute area objectives in support of International Defence Working Group strategy, with a focus on the United Kingdom, NATO, Norway, Australia, Taiwan, and Japan.
2. Assist in developing direction and objectives as aligned to long term growth strategy for International Defence and Government customers.
3. Senior level interaction and goal/strategy commitment for and with industry partners and Customer leadership.
4. Guide the International Defence Working Group in implementing key business development strategies.
5. As required, day to day interaction with the Business Segment business development and sales leads for updates and review of business metrics as related to business capture efforts.
6. Participate/attend industry forums that could have Company impacts with respect to policies, standards, and technology.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
7. Proven track record as a team leader with an understanding of management practices
8. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment.
9. Military/Government background with significant understanding of international defence and government organizations.
10. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
11. Must hold/maintain a valid passport and be able to obtain visas for international travel.
12. Experience evidencing a strong Business Acumen.
13. Knowledge and experience with export regimes in the U.S. and UK
14. Ability to obtain security clearances in countries of interest

15. BS or equivalent experience
16. Offshore / oilfield operational experience
17. International BD experience, especially in UK, NATO, Australia
