Key Stage 1 Teacher – Atherton
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary (with potential for a permanent role)
Salary: Pay to scale (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Are you a creative and caring teacher with a passion for early learning and child development? We are looking for an inspiring Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a friendly and forward-thinking primary school in Atherton.

Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* Experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
* A secure understanding of the KS1 curriculum and early assessment frameworks, including phonics.
* Ability to plan imaginative, purposeful lessons that spark curiosity and build confidence.
* Strong classroom management skills and a nurturing teaching style.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across Key Stage 1, ensuring all pupils make good progress.
* Support children’s emotional and social development, creating a warm and positive learning atmosphere.
* Use assessment effectively to inform planning and tailor learning to meet individual needs.
* Foster strong home–school relationships, keeping parents informed and involved in their child’s learning journey.
* Work closely with colleagues and support staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold its values and ethos.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
