This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Project Manager. You will be responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle, programme task management, and resource management, supported by the Project Managers Office and engineering teams, ensuring technical compliance and quality. The Project Manager will attend client meetings, requiring good commercial and communication skills.
You should have previous experience in a technical project management role with knowledge of control system solutions/automation, including PLCs, SCADA, HMI, variable speed drives, and instrumentation products.
Full-time position:
(08:30-17:15 Monday to Thursday and 08:30-16:00 on Fridays)
What We Are Looking For
1. Technical engineering project management, programme management, and planning skills to ensure project tasks, timelines, and deliverables are met
2. Ability to manage the financial controls of projects
3. Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
4. Leadership skills to manage and motivate a team of engineers
5. Experience leading project review meetings and discussions with clients/end users to ensure project controls and deliverables meet expectations
6. Proficiency in utilizing support from the Project Managers Office for project governance
What We Require From You
1. Background in engineering, specifically control system solutions/automation
2. Thorough understanding of PLCs, SCADA, HMI, variable speed drives, and instrumentation products (highly beneficial)
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
4. Experience with Project Governance and commercial awareness
5. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
6. Experience with MS Project and MS Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
7. A valid UK Driving License (occasional site travel may be required)
Beneficial Qualifications and Experience
1. APMP or PRINCE2 certification
2. NEC3 Contract Management experience
3. CDM Management experience
