JOB PROFILE DESCRIPTION

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE BUSINESS:

As a Graduate WorkdayTechnicalConsultant in Kainos,you’llwork as part of a team of integration consultants on a project, supporting the successful delivery of integration solutions for the cloud-based Workday HCM system. With the support of more senior consultants, you’ll work to capture requirements, document, implement,deployand support integration solutions within a Workday implementation project.

You will develop and share expert knowledge of the Workday product and integration platform toolset, as well as HCM / Financials business domain knowledge. You’ll build strong relationships with our customers to understand their requirements, ensuring that the integration solution is aligned to their needs, fit for purpose and commerciallyviable.You’llknow when to appropriately escalate issues and seek support from your more experienced team members.

Upon completion of theEarly Careers Programme, you will have gained knowledge and skills to help transform the organisation and set you on the path to becoming the next generation of leaders at Kainos. You must have a keen interest in developing a career in consulting. Within Workday at Kainos, the expectation is for our staff to be adaptable and be able to rotate within various Workday teams depending on business needs.

MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS: 

1. Currently studying or have completed aBachelorsdegree in a relevant technical and/or business subject, e.g. IT/Computer Science,Software Development, Computing Systems, Business IT, etc.

2. An understanding of XML, XPath and XSLT, and knowledge of an object-oriented programming language (preferably J2EE).

3. Basic understanding of cloud computing, webservicesand associated integration challenges.

4. Good communicator, you will be willing to assume a customer facing role, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.

5. Capable of working within teams and alongside customers, as well as on yourownindividual tasks with limited supervision. Able to manage your time effectively and record it accurately.

6. Able to apply all relevant standards and procedures to your own work,maintaining high quality and accuracy at all times .

7. Aware of the importance of confidentiality and non-disclosure policies and/or agreements andensure security of information at all times .

8. Able, if required, to travel to customer sites in the same region (minimal out of region travel may also berequired)

9. Commercial understanding of utilisation within a services organisation and the importance of these targets .

10. Familiarity with, exposure to, or a demonstrated willingness to learn generative technologies (such as Generative AI tools) to drive innovation, streamline processes, or deliver impactful results within the role.

DESIRABLE:

11. Basic understanding of Human Resource, Financials, or Payroll operations and/or software integrations

THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE APPLYING:

Travel expectations:At Kainos, we work with a diverse range of clients and some of our projects require travel. If travel wererequired, we will endeavour to keep this to a minimum and ensure sufficient notice is provided. 

Working arrangements: Upon joining, you will be expected to work in your contracted office for 5 days per week for the first 6 months.After which, you can work hybrid,in agreement with your People Manager. These days may be fixed. You must be available to attend your contracted office, or to a customer site, when required.

Workday Certification:All graduates willparticipatein a structured training programme, which includes Workday Certification where relevant to your role. This training typically spans 2 to 4 full weeks, and attendance is mandatory for all training days. Successfully passing your certification is a requirement of the role, andyou’llreceive full training and support from Kainos throughout the process.
