Established specialist manufacturer and distributor of fastenings seeks an experienced CNC Setter to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in setting and maintaining CNC machines, including tooling changeovers and troubleshooting. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail and a good understanding of metal forming processes. Proven experience as a CNC Setter is required. Offered as a permanent contract, the role of CNC Setter provides competitive salary, additional company benefits, part-time/full-time options and immediate start available. CNC Setter duties: * Set up and operate the Tornos CT20 lathe (bar capacity up to ~20 mm, twin spindle, sliding head) to manufacture precision components * Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD/CAM data and machining instructions * Program the machine (or modify existing programs) to optimise cycle times, tooling, feeds and speeds * Monitor machine performance, carry out tool changes, adjust offsets, and maintain quality * Inspect finished parts (measuring equipment such as micrometers, Keyence Measuring Machine) * Maintain machine housekeeping, ensure cutting fluids, lubricants and tooling are managed * Report to Production Manager, planning, tool room and maintenance to ensure efficient running and minimal downtime * Document production data (e.g., quantities, scrap rates, machine time, maintenance) and support continuous improvement initiatives * Change tooling efficiently and ensure minimal downtime * Prepare, set up, and adjust Machines as required by product plans and production schedules * Inspect products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications * Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to machines as needed * Monitor production quality and adjust settings where necessary * Work closely with the Production manager and engineering teams to meet production goals * Maintain a clean and safe work environment Skills required by CNC Setter: * Proven previous experience as a CNC Setter is essential * Strong understanding of metal forming processes * Strong understanding of tooling and die setups * Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring equipment * Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude * A flexible approach to production tasks * Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently Location: Redditch, Worcestershire Hours of Work: Part/Full-time 24 – 43.75 hours per week Salary: Up to £35,000.00 per year dependent upon experience Benefits: Flexitime, Pension, Medical Insurance, Parking, Company Events Contract: Permanent If you have the skills to fulfil the role of CNC Setter, please APPLY TODAY
