Finance Business Partner / Financial Controller
Location: South West
Salary: up to £65k
We are seeking an independent and motivated Finance Business Partner to join our team. You’ll be a highly organised professional, confident in preparing and translating impactful KPIs to client management teams.
Our clients are start-ups, scale-ups, SMEs and not-for-profits who are all growing, either organically or through raising funds. All are going through a stage of change.

The role
The role covers a range of financial management, accounting & reporting for our clients. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Business Partnering
* Providing visible leadership. Support commercial performance conversations by providing relevant and accurate analysis and liaising with various stakeholders, as required
* Business Partnering to client Managing Director and operational and commercial teams providing quality financial analysis and support
* Support in pricing discussions and other commercial issues
* Support the preparation of business cases for capital projects
Budgets & forecasts
* Lead the process for budget/forecasting process including communication within the leadership teams and to Board stakeholders
Reporting & KPIs
* Preparation of accurate and insightful management information with appropriate KPIs, including revenue and margin analysis, and make use of these to drive accurate and incisive management reporting and business decisions.
* Preparation and submission of consolidated monthly management accounts
* Management and Board reports and papers
Financial oversight
* Internal control environment to ensure that identified risks (internal and external) are addressed
* Year end audit process
Team
* Provide leadership and direction to ensure that the finance team is engaged, focused, developed and delivering to their full potential
* Support Director and wider finance team as required
About you
* ACA, ACCA, CIMA plus post qualification experience
* Strong excel, analysis and presentation skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate to all levels of the business
* Proactive, organised and able to work flexibly in order to meet deadlines
* Independent with the drive to deliver results
* Comfortable working remotely, ideally based in our South-West region
