We are hiring a Software Engineer - L3 Support to work on Linux-based infrastructure and applications, covering layers from bare metal to cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes and OpenStack. This role offers an opportunity to develop broad engineering skills and work on critical open source issues, including upstream bug fixes.
Location: This is a remote role with teams across all time zones.
Responsibilities include:
* Resolving complex customer issues related to Ubuntu, Kernel, Ceph, OpenStack, or Kubernetes.
* Collaborating with support and engineering teams.
* Participating in upstream communities and developing bug fixes.
* Reviewing code and managing priorities effectively.
* Communicating technical information clearly.
* Traveling internationally up to 10% for meetings and conferences.
Qualifications:
* Strong academic background in Computer Science, STEM, or similar.
* Experience with Linux and open source software.
* Proficiency with Python, Go, C, or C++ on Linux.
* Willingness to learn new technologies and tackle difficult issues.

* Passion for technology and collaboration.
* Curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
* Interest in topics like kernel development, Kubernetes, OpenStack, Ceph, or distributed systems.
