Becoming a Companion and Home Carer
As one of our home carers, you'll be earning up to £12.00 per hour with industry-leading training and support provided. You will be required to work alternative weekends. No specific qualifications or background in care is required to become a care assistant; what's more important is that you have a natural calling to care for people. Job Description
You'll be working alone and unsupervised at the client's home, so being able to blend into their daily lives is essential. As a CAREGiver, you will need to deal with varying levels of dependency and medical needs, ensuring that our client is safe, secure, comfortable, and happy in their home. You will support older adults within their communities, providing companionship, assistance with daily tasks, and ensuring their well-being.
Tasks may include preparing nutritious meals, housekeeping, companionship, social activities, helping with dressing or bathing, and supporting medication reminders. Our clients' dependency and medical needs differ; we carefully match clients and CAREGivers for comfort and relationship building.
Support Tasks May Include:
* Accompanying clients to appointments and social events.
* Preparing healthy meals and snacks.
* Running errands, picking up prescriptions, or shopping.
* Light housework, laundry, or ironing.
* Providing medication reminders.
* Assisting with getting out of bed or into bed.
* Helping with bathing and personal care.
Above all, show friendliness, warmth, and empathy.
