Kingston Hospital's Arrhythmia team is being developed, to help care for the increasing needs of our local population. We are looking to recruit an innovative and dedicated Cardiology Nurse Specialist, to continue to develop our excellent service. This would involve working closely with Consultant Cardiologists, Cardiac Physiologists and Cardiology CNS'. The post holder will help to provide a hospital based arrhythmia service which will encompass arrhythmia clinics, in-patient reviews, nurse led cardioversion service, development of an internal loop recorder implant service and collaboration with the cardiology team and the bigger hospital community. The successful applicant will be expected to manage a caseload of patients, offering education and support in the management of Arrhythmia.
You will be expected to work autonomously and will be part of a wider team of cardiac specialist nurses, currently leading services across the cardiac spectrum at Kingston Hospital and in the Community.

Main duties of the job
* To provide high-quality, patient centred, arrhythmia care.
* In conjunction with the Arrhythmia CNS team and the Arrhythmia Consultants, the post holder will work autonomously as an advanced practitioner managing patients with cardiac arrhythmias, in the acute setting and out-patients.
* The post holder will provide high level clinical assessment, care planning, expert advice, extended intervention and thorough evaluation.
* The post holder will work collaboratively with Primary and Secondary care teams to further develop care management of arrhythmia patients to reduce inappropriate referrals and unplanned admissions.
