Overview
Medical Receptionist - Coldstream at NHS Borders. Coldstream Medical Practice is looking for a part time receptionist to join our busy team for 18 hours per week.
Hours of work will be over 3 days (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - 6 hours per day) and will involve both early and late shifts on a rotational basis. You will need to be able to work flexibly to cover annual leave and sickness absence within the team. Hourly rate is £12.21 per hour. Training will be given but good communication and keyboard skills are required as well as the ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales. Applicants should have a pleasant telephone manner and the ability to deal sympathetically with members of the public.
Responsibilities
* Provide reception duties for Coldstream Medical Practice, handling appointments, patient enquiries and administrative tasks as part of a small team.
* Support GP Partners, Salaried GPs, Practice Nursing team and Administration team.
Qualifications & Skills
* Good communication and keyboard skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales.
* Pleasant telephone manner; ability to deal sympathetically with members of the public.
About the Practice
We are a small, friendly practice team consisting of three GP Partners, two Salaried GPs, a Practice Nursing team, an excellent Administration team and a practice dog. We are a training practice for GP Registrars, Medical Students and other staff.
