Role: Sales Manager
Location: Burton upon Trent
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 basic plus commission
A fantastic opportunity has now arisen for a Sales Manager to join our client’s successful team in Burton upon Trent.

About the role:
Focusing on Derby, Stoke, Walsall & Birmingham - as a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and fostering strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
Key Duties & responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Commercial Director to develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company objectives and market trends
2. Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the logistics industry, including but not limited to warehousing, transportation, and distribution services
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and delivering exceptional customer service to ensure satisfaction and retention
4. Stay abreast of market developments, competitor activities, and industry trends to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats
5. Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to management for informed decision-making
6. Work as part of the sales team to achieve targets and exceed expectations, provide guidance, coaching and support where needed

What we would like from you:
11. Experience and knowledge of the logistics industry is essential
12. Previous sales experience in logistics is essential
13. Ability to commute and visit customers/other sites where needed
14. Strong written and verbal communication skills are key to this role
15. Good presentational and customer service skills with a logical approach to problem solving
