Our leadership team is dedicated to providing ongoing professional development and collaboration among staff to ensure the best outcomes for all students.


Responsibilities

* Lead and manage the school's special educational needs provision, ensuring all students receive the support they need to thrive.
* Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted interventions and support to promote achievement.
* Offer guidance and support to staff in differentiating their teaching and adapting the curriculum to meet diverse learning needs.
* Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on progress and involvement in the support process.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and legislation regarding special educational needs and disability (SEND).
* Lead training and professional development opportunities for staff related to SEND best practices.
* Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to provide additional support for students as needed.


Qualifications

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience working with students with special educational needs and a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
* Previous experience in a SENCO role or equivalent leadership position is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
