About the Role
I'm supporting a growing engineering company delivering MEICA and LV electrical design solutions across major UK water infrastructure programmes. With long-term framework commitments and a healthy pipeline across treatment works, pumping stations, network upgrades and capital maintenance projects, they're adding an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to strengthen their in-house design capability.
This is an opportunity to join a highly technical, collaborative engineering team working on some of the most critical water infrastructure projects in the country. What You'll Be Doing
* Producing robust LV electrical designs for clean water and wastewater assets
* Completing cable sizing, fault level analysis, lighting/earthing calculations and protective device coordination
* Designing using AMTECH / ProDesign to the latest BS 7671 standards
* Creating single-line diagrams, panel schedules, load assessments and supporting documentation
* Working closely with in-house mechanical, ICA, civils and process engineering teams
* Providing technical input across FEED, detailed design, installation, and commissioning
* Supporting design reviews, HAZOPs, constructability assessments, and client technical discussions
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, preferably with a background within the water sector, utilities, MEICA, industrial or process environments
* Proficiency with AMTECH/ProDesign
* Solid understanding of BS 7671 (18th Edition)
* Confident producing LV distribution designs and associated calculations
* Someone proactive, detail-driven, and comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary team.
