FuturePro Global Forwarding Ltd is a brand new addition to the FuturePro Logistics Group portfolio. FuturePro Logistics is an established and ambitious e-commerce logistics provider, specialising in order fulfilment, warehousing, and outsourced supply chain operations.
Following customer feedback and demand, we are now building our Global Forwarding division and are seeking an experienced, motivated and organised multimodal Freight Forwarder to be based at our head office in Thatcham.
Role Overview
Utilising your experience and based on client requirements, build quotes and arrange import and export shipments based on a suitable transport mode, considering the clients required lead time and/or cost requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Be an exceptional customer contact, learning and understanding their needs, building a trusted rapport with the clients.
* Negotiate pricing with service providers to match client requirements.
* From the client requests and requirements, create competitive quotations from a small portfolio of service providers, air, road and ocean.
* Create documentation, coordinate, proactively track and update client on shipment status.
* Build aviation security and/or customs clearance instructions for provision to our service providers.
* Coordinate with accounts team with reference to invoicing and queries.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Person Specification
Essential:
* Previous experience in a multimodal environment
* Excellent customer relationship management skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good organisational and time-management skills
* Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office applications).
* Awareness and ability to create multimodal documentation, i.e. Road CMR, Ocean B/L, Air AWBs.
* Capability to work independently (and as part of a team)
* Strong commitment to health, safety, and compliance
Desirable:
* Experience in international multimodal solutions (air/road/ocean).
* Experience of working independently
