Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant (TA) Location: Sheffield (S14) Salary: £86 – £100 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time Do you have a passion for supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? GSL Education are seeking a committed and compassionate SEMH TA to join a supportive school in Sheffield (S14). As an SEMH TA, you will provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, both in and out of the classroom. Responsibilities as an SEMH TA: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs. Implement behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation techniques. Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to promote engagement and confidence. Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure cohesive support. Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment. Requirements for SEMH Teaching Assistant: Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is desirable. Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills. Resilient, patient, and understanding in challenging situations. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
