The successful candidate will join a team of middle grade doctors including specialty trainees specialty doctors and such others as are in post. The fellows main duties will include providing inpatient cover on the renal ward, providing an outpatient service alongside consultants, providing a referral service to other specialties carrying out specific treatments and procedures (once adequately trained) following prevalent unit guidelines. The post holder will be part of a Rota to provide inpatient cover on the renal ward when she/he will be posted on the ward for a month at a time. The nephrology and transplant clinics will be allocated monthly although they will have fixed clinic commitments in dialysis medicine.
The middle grade doctors will take turns to provide the referral service. The fellow will also be part of a renal middle grade on- call Rota.
