We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic personal assistant to support a young gentleman in maintaining his independence. As a non‑speaker, he communicates primarily through an app on his iPad. If you share his passion for football, rugby, gaming on his PS4, and love exciting trips to theme parks, museums, zoos, theatres, cinema, and work, this role is perfect for you.
Responsibilities
* Moving and handling
* Cooking
* Bathroom assistance
* Lifting the folding wheelchair in/out of car, pushing the employer's manual wheelchair when out
Reliable with good timekeeping.
* Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
* Hygienic, tidy and well organised
* Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
* Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
* Honest and cheerful
* Creative
* Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
* Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
