Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver creative, differentiated English lessons for KS3-KS4 learners with SEMH needs.
* Build positive, trusting relationships with students and support their emotional regulation.
* Develop individual learning plans and adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of needs and abilities.
* Work closely with the wider pastoral and therapeutic team to support holistic student development.
* Contribute to behaviour support strategies and promote a safe, structured learning environment.
* Track progress and provide regular feedback to pupils, parents/carers, and senior staff.
About You
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) essential.
* Proven experience teaching students with SEMH needs - in an Alternative Provision, PRU, SEN school or similar setting.
* Strong behaviour management skills, resilience and a calm, consistent approach.
* Ability to create engaging, literacy-focused lessons that inspire reluctant learners.
* A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people to achieve their potential.
