Join Our Team as a Senior Assistant Financial Accountant!

Salary: £31,000+ depending on experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Maintain and Update: Keep our general ledger in top shape by preparing journal entries for routine transactions, accruals, prepayments, and recurring items. You'll also correct any errors and ensure all documentation is ready for audits.
* Payroll Management: Record payroll journal entries and prepare insightful reports summarizing payroll costs, benefits, and liabilities.
* Account Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll-related accounts, swiftly investigating and resolving discrepancies.
* Support Closing Processes: Assist in month-end and year-end closing by preparing schedules and reports, ensuring timely posting of all journal entries.
* Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to financial processes and systems for increased efficiency and accuracy.
* Collaborate: Work closely with other departments to understand their financial needs and provide valuable insights.
* Organize Records: Maintain organized financial records and respond to internal queries while providing administrative support for general ledger processes.
Your Skills and Experiences:
* A degree in Finance, AAT Level 3 or above, or relevant experience in a finance team.
* Proficiency in accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Sage.
* A genuine interest in advancing your accounting career, with the ambition to pursue a professional accountancy qualification.
* Excellent communication skills, with a professional and confident approach when interacting with managers, colleagues, and finance stakeholders.

The Financial Accounting Team:
Become part of our dynamic Financial Accounting Team, where flexibility and career development are at the forefront. After six months, you’ll have the opportunity to pursue professional qualifications with study support. In this role, you’ll gain broad exposure across key areas of financial accounting, including accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll accounting, and asset and lease accounting. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will be vital in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial controls, contributing to our ongoing success.
