Affluent encompasses the financial planning business, Quilter Financial Planning, the Quilter Investment Platform and Quilter Investors, the multi-asset investment solutions business.

High Net Worth includes the discretionary fund management business, Quilter Cheviot, together with Quilter Cheviot Financial Planning – offering a highly personalised service to private clients, charities, trustees, and professional partners. Quilter Cheviot has presence throughout the UK, Ireland and Channel Islands.

About the Role

Level - 3

Department- Compliance

Location - Homebased

Contract - Permanent

This role requires a strong team player who can work effectively with colleagues to help meet regulatory obligations, including responding to Data Subject Access Requests and incident management processes.

1. Conduct remote assessments of Quilter’s AR firms via Microsoft Teams, ensuring compliance with GDPR, PECR, and DPA 2018.

2. Schedule and manage assessments, identify non-compliance, and provide guidance on meeting requirements.

3. Communicate findings, highlight gaps, and recommend corrective actions.

4. Build relationships and act as a trusted Data Protection adviser.

5. Translate legislation and policies into practical business requirements.

6. Work with Relationship Managers and Oversight teams to capture risk profiles.

7. Stay current on Data Protection laws and complete mandatory training.

8. Advocate for Data Protection best practices to protect client rights.

9. Challenge and improve oversight frameworks in line with regulatory changes.

10. Respond promptly to internal and AR firm queries.

11. Support handling of DSARs and incident triage with accurate, timely responses.

12. Manage diary and upload assessment documentation promptly.

About You

13. Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex Data Protection requirements clearly.

14. Solid understanding of GDPR, PECR, and DPA 2018, ideally within a regulated industry (e.g., Financial Services).

15. Effective time management and prioritisation; capable of managing workload to meet regulatory priorities.

16. Proven ability to build relationships and act as a trusted Data Protection adviser.

17. Hands-on experience with key Data Protection processes: Data Subject Rights, incident management, DPIAs, and query resolution.

Desirable

18. Experience using OneTrust.

19. Relevant qualification (e.g., Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection, CIPP/E, CIPP/M).
