Yorkshire Health Network are looking for a polite and helpful receptionist to work 9 hours a week as the first point of contact for the Enhanced Access Team at our Leon Smallwood Unit at Ripon Hospital.
The working hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday,17:30pm to 20:30pm.
Additional hours may be available at our other sites at Beech House Surgery in Knaresborough and Priority House, Grove Park Court in Harrogate.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team by ensuring all functions are carried out in accordance with agreed procedures, protocols and time-scales.

Job responsibilities
* Meet and greet patients and visitors arriving at the site and direct them accordingly. Responsible for visitors signing in and out of the building as required.
* Set up clinical and reception spaces and ensure that the waiting area is prepared prior to clinic commencing and is maintained to a high standard during the clinic.
* Book, cancel and amend appointments on the clinical system, send and actioning tasks, printing ICE forms, PDS updates, check patients in and out and send SMS reminders.
* Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers' request appropriately signposting patients to the correct service.
* Support clinical staff with the patient clinics including cancelling patients, rearranging appointments if necessary.
* Maintain confidentiality of patients.
* When required, to be responsible for the opening and closing of the building at the beginning and the end of the day, ensuring safety and security measures are followed.
* Chaperone duties as and when required
* Responsible for accepting clinical deliveries and ensure that they are put away in a timely manner and in fridges in order to maintain cold chain and safety.
* Check fridge temperature logs and daily oxygen and defib checks.
* Take payments for clinical service prior to appointment or at end of treatment.
* Arranging pathology samples to be collected by relevant organisations and ensuring they are correctly labelled.

Experience
* Experience of working with the general public.
* Experience of administrative duties.
* Experience of working in a health care setting.
* Experience of handling confidential and sensitive information.
Skills
* Communication skills (written and oral).
* Clear, polite telephone manner.
* Competent in the use of Office and Outlook.
* Ability to work as a team member and autonomously.
* Experience of the clinical systems EMIS or SystemOne.
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent including Mathematics and English (a minimum of grade 4 or C).
