Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School – Coventry
APT Education is looking for a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a forward-thinking primary school setting in Coventry. If you’re passionate about inclusive education and thrive in nurturing environments, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role
Location: Coventry (local primary schools)
Start Date: Immediate and/or after October Half Term
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term placements
Competitive daily rate, paid weekly
Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored support for pupils with SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language needs
Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions under the guidance of class teachers and SENCOs
Create a safe, emotionally intelligent learning space
Support EHCP targets and contribute to progress reviews
✅ What We’re Looking For
Minimum 12 months’ experience in a UK primary school SEN support role
Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Confident communication and behaviour management skills
