Position Title: Plant Supply Beavertail Driver (15 Tonne) and HIAB preferred
JDT Group: London Operation -Westerham
Job Type: Full Time Self Employed
Shift and Schedule: 9-10hrs per day, plus Overtime, Weekend availability,
Rate of Pay: £155-£175 per day, dependent on experience
Job Purpose
To provide Companywide support to JDT Operations with the regular supply of vital equipment, such as but not limited to, Plant Moves (digger, dumpers, road plates etc)
Job Description
The role will be based at our depot in Westerham but there may be some requirement to occasionally work from other JDT depots. The main role will require you to move plant from site to site and also deliver and collect from our local depots.
Responsibilities And Duties
The ability to use a manual crane (experience preferred)
Perform vehicle defect checks.
Comply with all driving regulations.
Work well on your own and as part of a team.
You will be loading and unloading, some heavy lifting may be involved.
Ensure that a good standard of housekeeping is maintained.
All tasks to be completed in the safest manner, adhering to all health and safety rules and regulations.
Ability to be able to strap / secure loads.
Qualifications And Skills
Liaise with Managers and yard staff on a daily basis.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Valid Crane and FLT licences would be an advantage.
Must be able to multi-skill, be hardworking and have attention to detail.
Must be able to maintain good timekeeping and attendance record.
Must be prepared to work outdoors.
Use their own initiative in organising movement of plant and equipment from site to site safely.
Will have a positive 'can do' attitude,
Be able to carry out manual work.
Schedule:
9-10 Hour Day Shift
Monday to Friday
Overtime: As required
Weekend availability: As required
Experience:
Over the age of 21yrs
Driving Experience: 1 years (required)
Licence/Certification: Cat C+E (required)
HIAB Licence (preferred)
Driver CPC (required)
Desired Qualifications/Competencies:
HIAB Hook Duty License (preferred)
Plant Operator knowledge for loading and unloading.
Proficient in load security, use of chains and straps.
